Las Vegas valley
Henderson is not a Las Vegas neighborhood. It is Nevada’s second largest city, and treating it as a suburb is the most common and most expensive mistake made here.
With well over three hundred thousand residents, Henderson has its own municipal government, its own permitting, its own business licensing and, crucially, its own search behaviour. People in Henderson search for Henderson businesses. A site optimised entirely around "Las Vegas" is competing in the wrong city for a large share of its own market.
The practical consequence shows up in the map pack. A business located in central Las Vegas can rank well across the valley core and be effectively invisible in Green Valley and Anthem, because proximity is doing what proximity does. Without a grid scan, that gap is invisible: the owner sees good rankings from the office and assumes coverage.
Henderson also has genuinely distinct sub-markets. Green Valley is established and family-heavy. Anthem runs newer and higher-end up the hill. Downtown Henderson is older housing stock with older systems and a different set of jobs entirely. A single Henderson page is better than nothing, but the businesses that win here treat those as separate.
Find out where your map pack visibility actually stops. It is usually closer in than you think.
